If you have a rockin reel and are just getting out of school, don’t be afraid to submit even if you don’t have that scary “industry experience”. Also for the animator job in particular, Flash knowledge is good, Toon Boom is great, and both is fantastic. We use Flash in a more traditional manner, so reels featuring redrawn animation (as opposed to motion tweened symbol stuff) are a big plus.
